Heading 120° to Polis Bay on Ithaca. From here Odysseus sailed to Troy with his fleet. Swim, or go in search of Polis, the city of Odysseus on the hill above the bay in Stavros. Then further south through the Devil’s Channel to Euphemia on Kefallonia. From here, a shore excursion is worthwhile to visit Melissani Cave, an underground lake that is illuminated through a natural opening in the cave ceiling and lets its water gleam in turquoise to dark blue.
